With less than four weeks until Christmas, many of us will be focused on making sure that the shopping and ‘to do’ lists are being fulfilled in good time. But who’s to say that all of the hard work can’t be combined with a bit of fun? After all, it’s only Christmas once a year!

It’s Christmas Time in the City

At this busy time of year we often take for granted the festive transformation that takes place in our cities and towns. Whether it’s the wonderful shop window displays or breathtakingly beautiful light displays, they add magic for young and old alike.

In the UK we have a wealth of major centres for shopping and what’s more, these cities have responded massively to making time spent in them a seasonal delight. Many people are now taking advantage of combining some seasonal fun with their Christmas shopping and taking time out in other towns and cities to sample what they have to offer.

Like Santa’s parcel drop, the Christmas magic extends from North to South, from Aberdeen to Glasgow, across to Edinburgh and on down to Manchester and London. With Christmas markets, carnivals, thrilling rides, lights and shows, there’s no end to the possibilities to have some fun will filling your Christmas stockings and Santa sacks!

But where to stay? To enjoy the sights and experience all the festive fun you want to be there in the thick of it! At Dreamhouse, our apartments are all perfectly located, centrally in whichever city you happen to be visiting (and we’re in all of the ones where Christmas is big!).

Our advice this Christmas is to make the most of the season and take some time to create special memories. What’s more, do it all in the knowledge that there’s a luxuriously appointed apartment to return to when you’re done with the shopping, the ice-skating, the show watching, the mulled wine drinking, the carol singing, the light watching and the Hogmanay merry-making!
